Had to replace the broken crankcase cover on the crf, and in the process of doing so, I managed to break a few of the wires on the stator, they're the very fine coiled ones out at the ends,
I'm getting no spark at the plug now, so im assuming that this is the problem, that shes now not generating enough power for the spark. I've checked the coils for continuity and sure enough, one loop is broken. is it possible to get these rewound? new ones are pricey. If you just broke the wires, you might be able to repair it yourself. It depends if the wire is coming from the inside or outside of the coil. If it's the outside, just pull the wire out and unwind one turn. Solder a bit of flexible insulated wire and tie the wire back with a bit of nylon string and a bit of Araldite.
