Default trickle chargers?

Hi folks, I went to start the blade and go for
A hoolie run but the battery is flat again!
I was last on it 2 days ago. I think its the led
Off the alarm ffs draining it. Any who I'm
Dubious bout leaving these chargers in
Unattended. Is there a risk of fire due to
Overheating? Also can yiz recommend one.
Nice 1 peeps.

Optimate are very good. but expensive! I think Matt Keane is doing Yuasa ones at a great biker.ie rate.!

Dont worry bout leaving them plugged in, they are designed to maintain rather than charge flat out!

I doubt an LED will drain your battery either, power consumption is minimal.....

I never thought bout a plug timer. Good idea!
Re the led I know its minimal but its the only
Load on the vary at night. I even put the alarm
In valet/off mode but when the voltage drops to
12.3 she won't turn over. It's all I can think it is?

Bought one of the Halfrauds ones myself. Bike died on a Sunday and needed bike that night. Works great.
Only bad thing is that it doesn't have a screen to tell you the voltage.
Just 3 LED lights.
One for charging.
One for charged.
One to say you're thick for not being able to match red with red and black with black.

Never seen the third one.... I swear.

Have the track bike charging with an Optimate since the last track day back in September, no problems with it at all. I also bought one of the yusa ones from Matt Keane off here, not a problem with that one either, have it charging the buddies track bike.
Matts service was second to none, put in the order on a friday had the charger and two batteries with acid on the monday.

Optimate from life sized sex dolls is good. Have it plugged in since october. Run the bike up every couple of weeks or so since - no problem. The battery is 5 years old now :-)
One thing noone mentioned - do not leave it connected to the battery and not plugged into the mains, it will drain the battery this way in a couple of days.

the lidi ones are grand, i know garages that use them. if the bike is outside, get a 12v solar charger, you can pick them up for under 20 quid, no fire worry, and mother nature pays the bill, all year round.
