No this meeting was specifically for the pirelli tyre deal issue

85 to 7

And I believe 1 of the 7 for was the pirelli rep and another was someone tryin to get deal to be one of the people sellin stamped pirelli's

It's much more than just about tyre deal now too

If the pirelli deal goes through there will be no isb national championship or clubmans national championship

Competitors are welcome at Wednesdays meeting too, perhaps if people who couldn't make tonight wished to attend

We'll know 2mro night man, if it goes ahead it's a disgrace and against the consent of the riders

Riders should then respond by boycotting the series and compete in the no tyre rule north and south masters

Might be a cheap tire price for most, but not for 125 riders though, quite expensive in fact.

And also the cost of these cheaper tires at the loss of the Irish Championship which is a bad thing in my opinion.

And with the loss of Irish Championship status, riders wont travel as much which may lead to a repeat of Octobers events, where a meeting was cancelled due to lack of entries. When I asked last night would the UC prevent this from happening in any way, they couldnt give me an answer.

If the tyre deal goes thru Irish Superbike and Supersport champions will be a thing of the past! There will be no national championships

Wonder if entry money will go up to with the lose of the prize money. Be a shame if entries went to over £100.

mark sanlon said last week that the organising clubs will get no money out of the 25 grand so therefore the prize money has no effect on them anyway.

They said at the meeting that there will be no prize money if the deal dosnt go through.

Billy Mckinstry got it right, they should look for sponsors all well and good, but we shouldnt have to use their product for them to be a sponsor. As Billy said, you didnt have to smoke Regal cigarettes to race in the Regal 600 class!

Thats interesting as UC press release said that entry money would remain the same due to this deal.

Possibly it was going to be an end of year of prize fund and no prize fund per event, in which case it makes a hugh different to entry costs.

he was asked last week by the Belfast and district how this would make a difference to te entry fees if the clubs were receiving no money and he said that more riders would enter because of cheaper tyres so they could keep the entry fee down :/ and then Belfast and district said if we don't go with the deal we will still have prize money on the day! just so ya know :)

In the 2nd statement from the UC they said that there were sponsors interested in becoming involved in their championship. I wonder if they still are?
Mondello can attract commercial sponsorship, but they have invested in TV so it has guaranteed exposure.

last year if ya didn run the bridgestone you were started off at the back of the grid, so wha happens if everyone boycots the tyre deal, uses tyre of choice what will they do start everyone off last in the grid, as people have said were the people paying entry we clearly stated by the voing that we dont want a tyre rule, and should have the rite to use a tyre that have confidence in,

also a guy stated the on his pre 97 he picked up 3 sets of second hand tyres for i think it was around the 200e mark which done him for the season, so buying these new your lookin at a grand, racing should be promoted to be cheap to get peoples interest in doin it and make it more affordable, they say that with the tyre deal this is makin tyres cheaper but it rules out th option to buy a second hand set for 50e that an amiture will get a couple of races from
