Hi All,
Well its not a superbike and yes another 125 restoration project on the boards. Its in the family now for about 5 or 6 years now and was previously owned and driven by the brother and has been sitting in a wooden shed for about 3 to 4 years. I have a 50% share in this now, well actually for the last 2 years. Its in my garage now and sitting poised to be torn apart. Its a shame we let it get to this stage and its now we realise there is a LOT of work to be done to get this looking and running as it should. I hope to call on the expertise of the more experienced guys and gals of the site to get me through some of the more technical queries i may/will have thanks in advance To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. The bike is an RS125 [full power] Valentino Rossi replica from 1999 with shy of 5500 miles on the clock. The initial documentating images were taken on an Olympus OM10 film camera to give a more vintage grainy look. here are the first blast of images > To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. A couple of threads going here about rebuilds on them yokes. Have a 99 1 in the shed too. Off the road 3 yrs now. I put new piston & rings in it there bout 6 months back & left engine sitting under frame. Not worth the time, effort & money imo unless u want it to be a showpiece. When I get it back on the road, I'm just goona ring the guts outta it for a bitta craic.

Nice one - I had two of them bikes, first one was a 99 in the black, second one was the high arse model 97 in silver...loved them both, great bikes

And when they hit that power band and give ye a kick in the arse, savage stuff To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. I have a full sticker set somewhere and I might have some other bits and bobs in the black hole of my shed...I'll have a look and see what I can dig out To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. |

deadly. Its great to see the strokers being restored. There is fuck all of them still in production for road bikes so its a shame so many are sitting unused in sheds

Some of them might do ye anyway, just gathering dust somewhere at home so no use to me, you're welcome to them if I can find them - all of the little decals included, its an OEM set I got with the silver bike and forgot to throw it in when I sold it a couple of years later...liked the look of it in the plain silver so never stuck them on I'll have a poke around at home and see what I can dig up...have moved gaff though so there's every chance they've walked somewhere along the way!
