Default Cost of alarm

Out of curiosity how much would a standard alarm cost for a bike. Also would it take much juice from the battery or does that matter.

Thanks

Both of these options, as Thatcham approved alarms, are running at around 400 yoyos fitted.

I have noticed the words discount...CN...Datatool....the ....im very interested in that indeed why the hell didnt i say it too them that i had an alarm system, this is what happens when people insure the bike a few days before they inspect, read and learn. Its probly not worth the hassle getting onto them again i only have 3 months left neway with CN.

Yeah well,
it's because of bloody Carole Nash that I have source one in the first palce!

I changed insurance over to the 6R and was told I'd require an alarm for theft insurance but we can call round and fit one for a very competitive price.

I hands over the cadh and waits for the call to set up an install appointment.
Three weeks later, no call. I ring them they say, oh sorry very busy, next week.

Repeat by two!

Then I ring up and I'm told, that they are just off the phone with the UK and they have cancelled the serice. Fancy that, the minute I rang, after waiting for another two weeks with no word. What are the chances eh?

So now, over a week later, I'm still waiting for a refund!

mate,
I'm going through EXACTLY the same thing right now !!
I was originaly told the alarm would be fitted 8 weeks ago, then it was on hold for 3 weeks and no word, so I rang them only to be told, oh sorry we dont do alarms anymore.
When i pointed out I had already paid for some of mine I was told ah well then we can still fit it, it will be done within 3 weeks.
then I get a call from an English guy saying it will be done on thursday 3rd May.
Last Friday I get a call saying sorry, cancel that you can have a choice of either taking a day off and dropping the bike into Capitol honda and they will do it (for 150 less than I was being charged)
OR
you can have whatever money back you have paid and get the alarm bought and fitted yourself immediatly

needless to day I told them what to do with their "offer"
As it stands right now, monday 30 April, I STILL dont know whether the bastards are gonna fit it !
Oh yeah, when I quired the original price (€400) I was told CN got a great deal on the units but they couldnt tell me which unit they were gonna fit.
Now, after arguing the point with them and getting them to agree to fit the META alarm(which I could buy online for €199), they want to fit the cheaper laserline instead.

Honestly, I have never know such shower of cowboy bastids in all me life
