I had the bike out today for a while. It's been a couple of weeks since it got a good run as I'm working away from home these days.
But the bike idles rough. It doesn't quite get to the point where it might cut out but I know it just doesn't sound right. Also, I don't think it's accelerating to well either, it just doesn't feel smooth or even, if that makes sense? Any clues? something I could try and fix myself? Dead badger in the airbox again. Been a spate of them all over the West this winter.
Did it start ok - full choke and then let it warm up and slowly close the choke until it was ok to drive off? Did you actually ride it somewhere and then notice it not ticking over properly? Does it drive ok otherwise? It was so cold today that any motor that wasn't up to temp would struggle so I'm not sure what to advise. Uneven tickover might be down to damp on the HT leads/coils or plugs but if the bike was kept dry and warmed fully I don't know. 'cptr |

Probably better off letting Steve Mac take a look! |

my guess would be youll get a whole lot better resuilts letting someone who knows have a listen , , could be gone onto 1 cyl if it a bros your talkin about , but youll get a lot of advise that might not be very useful , as anyone giving a diagnosis might be just guessing , (as theres not a lot to go on info wise )
id say the first step would be start it for a mo , and turn it off , touch exausts (THEY WILL BE very hot !!!!!!!!!! even after a few secs !!!!!!!!! ) be careful , if one is cold , one cylinder is not running , |
