if you can't syphon it out
and depending on the bike type and filter position you might just let out the difference by turning the oil filter till it dribbles out to the level you want |

Still, I often question the validity of the "workshop" specs. After all, they (Haynes) recommend changing the 954 oil & filter every 8000 MILES. Yeah.... right. |

Anyone ever manage to syphon a bandit? seems like a difficult shape.
Wont burn oil at all. Probably because its not being reved over 8k rpm. I'll see if I can pick up a syringe tomorrow and chance that. |

Get some pond hose , B and Q do it , 8mm is only a couple of bob, it's clear and pliable. Get a big ass syringe from a veterinary supply . Put pipe onto syringe , put pipe into oil filler cap and waggle and draw till you strike oil.

open your filler cap and poke the straw down beneath the 'Bob Doyle' and put yer finger over the top of the straw and withdraw carefully! It's a bit labour intensive but you'll soon take enough out To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. |

if its in a bandit 600 as listed as posters bike well Id leave it alone (as long as he knows what 3mm is!)
by the time them yolks fill the oil cooler and them being a big old lumpy motor it will be fine! there is allowance for fuck ups engineered into these things! (sure if your to go by what stamped on the clutch cover(3300ml) well your nearly a liter short so common scents comes in to!) if it was a new 1ltr sport bike Id be draining.. oil cooled bandit hmmmm suppose Id have to see it but should be ok!
