SV dying

[Quattro]

A workmate has a low mileage mint 05 SV650 that he’s had for three months in daily use.

Lately, it’s started to die as he gears down, when cold and there’s also a splutter on hard throttle.

Just wondering if the SV has any known issues with these symptoms?

could be the throttle position sensor needs resetting or might just need plugs

is there no rubber flap on them to stop that cos there is on the tl's
