Hi all,
I recently found out about a great event in the pyreneees called the HUMM. Basically you need an off road capable bike, they give you a map and over 3 days you have to find as many markers as possible, no gps's allowed so it's like orienteering on a dirt bike. You have to be back by 6pm each day so there's no all nighters. The trails look excellent: To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. Event details are here: To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. I'm looking for some other irish based bikers to team up with. Because there's a lot of mapping and nav I'm looking to do a few weekends in the irish hills as prep so rather than find team mates over who don't know what they're at. Teams are 2 to 4 I think, pm me if you're interested, should be a blast |

Some of the lads on Xrv Ireland are setting up something similar to this for later in the year but on a smaller scale as it'll be the first go at it - the Paddy Dakar To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. |

Hey Paddy,
I was at the HU meet in Enniskillen, good laugh and had a good morning on the trails before heading back in time to hear about morocco. The paddy dakar looks good, one of the lads was talking about doing north pole to south pole in ireland. As in the north pole pub in malin head to the south pole in in annascaul via as many trails as you can fit in between! Sounds like fun |
