Default Bandit 1200 engine knock

I recently bought a Suzuki Bandit 1200 S K1 (2001).
When you start the engine cold, every 5 seconds or so it knocks.
It goes away when the engine warms up.
I suspect that it is either a loose cam chain kicking or a worn con rod bearing.

I did the:
Valve clearances
Cleaned and balanced the carbs
New plugs and air filter.

Anyone have any idea what is causing the knock?

give her a good warm up, 10mils or so, change oil & filter, and get a tin of wd 40 and pump in about a third of it into a nearly full tank of petrol! this should free any sticking
valve, repeat if necessarily!!!!!!!!!!!
good luck!!!!!!!!
