A mates suzuki rf600 failed its test on sticking front brakes. I had a look at the brakes for him and couldnt see anything wrong with them so i said we might aswell just unbolt the calipers from the forks, take the pads out and blast the caliper with brake cleaner and a tooth brush.
Anyhoo, i went off home to get some brake cleaner and when i got back my mate had completely removed the calipers, brake lines included To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater. So i took the pads out gave them a scrub with brake cleaner, cleaned out the area around the pistons and put it all back together. Then flushed the system and bled it. Now the brakes are binding a little, if you raise the front wheel up you can spin the wheel with your hand but the brakes seem to be on a little bit Cant work it out??? Anyone know how to sort it? as will prob not get through the test like that Last edited by triumph; 1st April 2010 at 10:34 PM. |
