Default AGV GP R Pista Carbon Helmet

Gents,

Is anyone else on here using one of these helmets and if so how do they find it?

Looking to see if anyone else finds wind noise an issue and if so is there anyway of reducing it or can an additional chin curtain be bought?

I'd say wind noise was the last thing AGV thought about with that particular lid.

My own K5, a fairly decent but strictly 'street' helmet, is loud enough to be annoying, even with earplugs.

Thanks lads,

Thought that would be the answer. AGV supply plugs in the box so must actually try them. Just be a pain wearing them and no doubt the will get lost easily.

Brill, on my second one. Selling my one now for the 20th anniversary edition. Not too bad for noise considering its a full on race lid but I've an RPHA-11 for day to day stuff. i always wear ear plugs anyway. Comfort is brill, looks gorgeous and build quality is spot on. The Corsa (same shell) is better day to day because the vents are closable but the Pista looks the tits

Yea I have no complaints except for wind noise but this time of year and weather doesnt help.

I actually just went for the gloss black carbon as wasnt a fan of the anniversary being matte carbon, if had of been gloss that would have sold it for me. I got the gold visor too, the anniversary one comes with a carry bag too which is nice.

Where are you going to buy? They aint cheap.

Na its this one I want, the 20th Anniversary Rossi lid! I have the GP-R project 46 2.0 in Matte Carbon. Beautiful lid but I fell in love with the 20th Anniversary. Gonna cost me a grand or so anyway but feck it, you cant take it with you!

Have only ordered the RPHA-11 so cant comment, had a good few RPHA-10s and they were a brill lid for the money so reckon I cant go far wrong.

Send me a pm ive spent hours trying to find best deal. In the Uk they are VAT free but i got mine from championhelmets in Netherlands who are authorised AGV seller and will beat anyones price and also gave a free irridium race 3 visor. Think mine was €800 delivered with gold race 3 visor VAT free. For comparison large retailer here wanted 1500.

Sportsbikeshop UK and motocebtral also seem to price beat too.
Lovely helmet i just prefer plain black as goes with everything but would love a second more in your face one too.

Get down to your local chemist and get a couple of boxes of foam ear plugs. Never go out on the bike without them tbh. Just part of the faff of helmet, gloves keys etc. I use a Caberg flip up lid which is noisy but the trade off is it's handler for accommodating glasses.
You will be surprised how quickly you get used to them....

I've the dual sport AGV lid in matt carbon, and the flip-up one in gloss carbon. Nice & light - helps reduce neck strain, as well as looking the dogs!

Buy the cheapo foam builders ones that have a cord round your neck. Im not great for taking care of things and even I can hang onto a pair of those for months. Cost a few cent a pair too.
