Scooters in London were gas, cameras all over the place now.

Reigning British Superbike Champion Shane Byrne remains in hospital after surgeons stabilised his spine and he is now waiting for another operation.
“I have two bruised lungs, all of my ribs fractured, four broken vertabrae, a broken neck in two places, broken sternum, collarbone, multiple other back fractures, fortunately no paralysis which was a big bonus as paralysis was a major issue and concern,”
said Byrne.
“The one at question from my surgeon after seeing my X-rays was how on earth are you not paralysed? His operation to fix the back and neck ran obvious risks of paralysis potentially coming back in the mix, fortunately the op went very well."
“There’s so many people to thank, marshals, medics, team members, friends, fans, family, that I really don’t know where to start. A massive shout-out to my amazing wife Petra though, she is my world, my everything and never ever stops being by my side whilst bringing up our children, being a mum to them then running around like a headless chicken after me, thank you all so much for the support.

Fairly burst himself alright, could be worse though at least back protectors these days are a little more than just foam inserts.

Shakey is on the mend but its a long hard road , I think he is having difficulty sleeping . he is allowed having a few visitors which is always a good sign , Think this is Luke Mossey visiting him .

Does anyone remember the fast bikes videos where they went to France and rode like dicks?

update;

Former Bennetts British Superbike Champion Shane Byrne has suffered a minor setback on his route to race fitness and may have to undergo another operation on his injured neck.

The Kent rider had a scan yesterday and found that he is 70 per cent of where he needs to be to race in 2019 and could again go under the knife early next season.
“Not going to lie, today’s news wasn’t great, however the optimist in me thinks it wasn’t terrible either,” said Byrne.
“Sure I was hoping for better news but I didn’t get it. I can begin to start some steady training now as my neck’s stable enough for that but I now have to wait for another scan in February as while it has healed a bit at very best it’s only around 70 per cent of where it needs to be.

“As it stands I might still might need another operation February/March next year. I’ll keep chipping away, it’s what I do.”
