Default Machine Shop

'Evening all,
I'm not sure where to post this so I will pop it here.
I'm looking for recommendations for a good machinist to do a bit of work on a BSA A10 engine i'm restoring.
It needs timing side main bush reamed and crank ground to suit as well as main journals and a probably a re-bore or hone. I have used Loftus Farrell in the past for re-bores but the timing side is a bit specialist so wonder if anyone here does this kind of thing.
Thanks in advance,
D

Consider changing the bush for a needle roller.

Westward engineering? Never heard if him doing anything with bike engines...but he has a good reputation. Worth a phone call at least.

Howard engineering might be able to do it.
Have had machine work done there before and was very happy.

Thanks for all the replies lads.
I would love to get a bearing conversion done. I am waiting for SRM to send prices just out of interest. Have a feeling it will be way out of my price range though.

Got a reply back from SRM in Wales. For a bottom end rebuild and big end bearing conversion....... (drum roll)........ "1500-3000 stg depending on the condition of your engine" Had to have a sit down and a stiff swig or 3.
