How's it going, I also have a Factory restricted k5 gxxer 600 and was wondering what's on the log book that tells the insurance companies or guards that it is factory restricted? I was looking at mine and it looked like it was a full powered bike, do you know where the restriction is written on the log book?

Sorry for the long windedpost but it's something i've been trying to find out for awhile

Cheers

as far as i know its the chassis no. they are able to tell by,i think theres a letter stamped on the frame that is a code letter and then the actual frame no. i vaguely remember a dealer telling me this.

Yeah,

On the SV, there is a code stamped onto the ECU. If it ends in 61 it is 33bhp, if it is 60 it is full power.

The SV ECU is Mitsubushi, don't know if the GSXR one is the same make or different, but I'm sure it is something similar.

My Vehicle Licensing Cert says 25kw under power.

L.

I know this is a for sale thread but what are the restricted bikes really like to live with. Again apologies for interrupting the thread but I would like to know from some one who has one

nice bike but a little out of my price range im afraid.

REst bikes are terrible to live with.
Its like being able buy a toaster for instance but the guy whos selling it to is saying...'you know you cant actually make toast with that dont ya'

The thing is...... this toaster can be upgraded to be ...."its normal self" without anyone knowing

You'll struggle a bit there st3vo. Factory restricted sportsbikes are a relatively new developement. Open to correction but wasnt 04 the first year that Suzuki made the fr gixxer available?? By definition you're looking for something up in the years and unfortunately more costly...
