Default Blade or Gixer

Right so iv'e decided that despite my aging bones, balding head and less than perfect finances if i don't do it now i'll never own a 1000 sports again. So it's down to a 2010 Blade and a 2011 GSXR. The Blade has 11k odd miles on it and the Gixer almost 20k miles. They both have a full service history, new tyres etc.. and are ready to rock. Both are more or less coming in and around the 7k mark and are in dealerships in the UK who have good reps.

Question is which of these bikes is likely to be the most reliable and which would be the more comfortable for day to day use and i include commuting to work in that. I'm not that worried about the power figures i know both bikes are going to be far far to powerful for a ordinary Joe like me but i want to act billy big balls in front of the GS crowd

Anyone who's owned either advice will be very welcomed

Id go gsxr 1000 seem to have lot less issues engine wise. Plus build quality is better then blade in years your looking at. Know a lad who had 80k kms on his k9 gsxr when he traded it for a new one about 3 years ago. His was kept outside under a cover year round and the finish was perfect . I still see this very bike commuting most days so still running strong. Like these model gsxrs from 09 up but not mad on new one. Think the k9 on made great litre road bikes. Happy hunting

From those two I'd buy the Blade. But if it's your last sportsbike you really should consider an S1000rr.

Comfort I always find the Gixxer the most comfy...but every man is different. Reliability there wouldn't be much in it. Looks go to the Gixxer.
It's up to you cause they are both good bikes. Really good bikes

The Blade handles and stops better but the gixxer is generally more reliable and more comfy if you are under 6’2!
Like anything though you can always have random problems

Gixer1000 every time. But it’s really down to which 1 you prefer. Both have more power than is really needed. I just think the gsxr is a more exciting package .. but well wear whatever you decide

I'm leaning towards the Gixer tbh even though it's nearly double the miles. I'm 6ft 1" and it seems to be the roomier bike for tall people. Christ it's close though two outstanding machines incredible how sports bikes have come along. My last litre bike was a 2003 gixer and an 1999 R1 before that so tell me is the difference between those bikes and the ones i'm considering massively noticeable and worth the extra bobs?
