This sheds a bit more light on things, hopefully whatever he decides, things will look better for him.

Great admiration for William, quiet and modest who got on with racing. Hope he bounces back either way...

He was always my favourite of the two dunlops.quietly went about his business, him and hutchy are two lads that wouldn't look out of place on the altar but are two animals on the roads, great ambassadors of the sport. Hope he gets the help he needs and sorts the head out whether he comes back to the roads or not

met him at Tandragee this year . Was leaving practice and marshal wouldnt leave anyone out , saw Dan approaching with his overnight case and said to him can I get out with you " no bother he says so we left together and had a good walk and chat while walking to the cages . .
I was saying you were going well in superbike class and he reminded me it was a stocker he was riding .
asked if a photo would be ok and the fookin phone was out of battery

I asked him where he was staying and he said Armagh so I says im staying at Armagh city hotel he smiled and said he wasnt staying in hotel . so I was slagging him saying Hector too tight to pay for a hotel

im shocked really nice bloke Dan

Dan was second behind Derek Shields in superbike race next day
a real talent

Absolutely gutted to hear this. Never met Dan but he always came across as a really nice, decent, down to earth type of fella. RIP Dan & deepest sympathy's to all his family and friends.
