Default Tuning ITV 4 for Sky Users

Hi Lads,

I know this is old hat for most of you's but I've finally managed to get ITV 4 on the telly yesterday. Much better watching the racing rather than reading results here or listening on the oul radio. Any process below is for tuning ITV on a Sky box

1. Press services. You'll see Options highlighted.

2. Press select. You'll see Accessibility highlighted.

3. Press the right arrow to highlight Add Channels, then press select. You'll see the Add Channels menu with Frequency (GHz) highlighted.

4. Enter the frequency then press the down arrow to highlight Polarisation. (10758)

5. Press the left or right arrow to set the Polarisation to either V (Vertical) or H (Horizontal). (V)

6. Press the down arrow to highlight Symbol Rate (Mbaud).

7. Press the left or right arrow to set the Symbol rate to either 22.0 or 27.5. (22.0)

8. Press the down arrow to highlight FEC.

9. Press the left or right arrow to set the FEC to either 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 5/6 or 7/8. (5/6)

10. You'll see the New Channels screen with all the available channels.

Will this work even if you have just the basic Sky tv package?

me neither till a couple of weeks ago - it is way up in the list of channels, not beside ITV4 where you'd expect it to be!
(I've got Freesat btw)

You will get the frequencies of any channels you need to add to a Sky box here.

Yes there are many channels you can add, but this week the most important ones are ITV4 and ITV4+1

Fair play to you mate, was trying to find out how to record all week. I managed to record it this morning and it's on again this evening and will record that too - great for rewind and ad skipping

It only seems to let you record though about an hour before its on, the planner doesn't show listings days or hours in advance like other channels
Good one to record to keep would be the review programme, I think it's on next week

Aye I saw that but great all the same once you remember to check about an hour beforehand or get somebody to do it. Will watch out for that review program,

After adding the channels, do they just appear in your normal channel list or is there somewhere else you need to browse to?

No theyre on a separate list - you have to go to the tuning menu and you'll see them saved there

you need to go into ''services'' tab and then into ''other channels'' tab. They don't show on the main menu.
