Heres a nice short one from Carrick-on-Shannon - Mohill - Carrigallen - Killeshandra - Bellinagh.
Not too bad a surface either considering what counties its in

You could also do a lap i often do on a Sunday.
Continue in from foynes and cut across to Newcastlewest then back to Abbeyfeale Where you can head back to listowel and on to Tarbert to complete the lap.

Its a nice spin of about 60miles or so
+1 Savage bit of road that! Lovely little quick spin out from Limerick. If you want a bit extra then there are some sweet backroads around Ballingarry.

Wheeeer de fook is dat, is the first thing enters my head, so I'm compiling a database showing the best biking roads around the country, I know there are websites and this has been done before, but on a larger pan European(spits) basis and with more emphasis on camping & pussie etc.

It's a small country, and you're not let out for long on a Sunday (if at all CharlieIRL *cough*) so a quick blast around a series of nice sweeping corners with a good (not necessarily billiard table smooth) surface where you can get the power down early and have a bit of craic is more important than any pussie etc. even if its in the middle of nowhere and takes a shitty road to get there.

Instructions are below and simplified as much as possible (will form part of an overall 'Best Biking Roads' database when complete) and the rules are :

No apes / old-timers sticking down motorways or 'cork to donegal on a goldwing' type shyte. These routes will be personally inspected and may be used on future 'discerning harley rider with tassels and tatts making mutual hitherto suggestive eyebrow movements while looking for friendship and maybe more, runs' so if there's any bog roads with craters the size of Bogmans mouth it'll be an automatic 2-month sentence for rehabilitation with Cecil

How to add routes ;

Hi,

I just joined. Some mates and I are coming over from Wales in July for a week's touring. What's 'pussie' in biking terms? I know about the cat and the other thing but?

Cheers,
John

I like this if ya dont have all day for a spin.
Kilkenny to Castlecomer is great.
Castlecomer to Athy is ok, bit to straight for the most part.
Athy to Carlow is great, even a couple of places to get some air time
