"Mental health issues" is a very broad statement. Anybody can pass a test and then develop issues after ..
Its not a good situation the way he is behaving but theres no way you could say "oh he has mental health issues - take his license away"

He's using his cage as a weapon and has mental health issues - if that doesn't warrant the removal of his license then I don't see what does. Hopefully this fuckwit will be prosecuted and the law will see to it that he's removed from the road.

Glad to hear that nut job is off the road. But for how long??... Until there is a serious accident I'd guess. Judicial system favours the criminal in Ireland...

I agree he shouldn't be on the road. I am just pointing out that you cant just say take all licenses from people with mental health issues.

Great that he was caught. Hope he gets the treatment he deserves if he is genuinely unwell.

Great that he was caught, now hopefully he's kept off the road permanently. Still a good chance he could be on the road before any court case so stay alert. If he's as disturbed as he appears to be he's unlikely to take being caught too seriously. Good work by the guards and the lads who reported it on here and to the cops, well done

Apparently 'mental health issues' were cited as his excuse.

I feel sorry for people who genuinely are struggling with mental health issues with an asshole like this using this as his reason for his inexcusable behaviour doesn't wash with me. If it was an isolated single incident maybe, but repeatedly trying to run bikers off the road over 2 seperate days in the one weekend, to me, means his actions were totally premeditated and he should get the book thrown at him.

I don't think a revoked licence is going to matter one iota to somebody like him, in fact he'd probably get angry and upp the Monty against bikers after that, at least now he's got 'history' and will be put away for a long time if he does eventually inflict harm.

Car is probably insured for fire & theft PJ, he'd just get another one

That's a result of sorts...

Do we know the full reg yet if the car....it would be useful to know it just in case this loon is allowed back behind the wheel. We regularly ride out around that area and I suppose it is only dumb luck that we have never run into him.

Last year some prick "with mental health issues" drove from Limerick city to Crusheen at over the ton on the wrong side of the dueller and motorway . Tell ya something, ther is not much time to think when that's approaching where you don't expect it. A feckin miracle there wasn't a pile up with fatalaties.
He also attacked the guards when he was finally arrested.
