Default Bike Sitting for 6 months - service before or after

I'm moving workplace for about 6 months and won't be using the bike much during this period. It's almost due a service but I'm wondering is it better to service it now before it sits idle or to leave it the six months and then service it?

It may get used a handful of times over the 6 months but not much.

I'll say do it now and have the best oil possible for when you start the bike after not using it for a while?

I guess the level of urgency will depend on if the oil change is due for milage or time, if it's just time (as in a yearly service but not too many miles) I'll feel less urgency, if it's based on milage, maybe a little bit more but you should be OK either way.

Most likely, you'll get 50/50 answers depending on points of view and you'll end up doing whatever is more convenient for you and that would be OK.

Battery tender and some basic winterising if it makes sense. 6 months with the odd run won't be too bad.

store bike in as warm place as possible
attach a battery tender
fill the tank up to the top and fluid res to reduce condensation
when oil sets carbon deposits in the oil rises to the top and etches all the gears ect. sonew oil
tyres are porous so overinflate by like 5psi and try to take the weight off them center stand or paddocks
give the bike a goiod wash and wax on, befor you put her away
