35k miles on a 20 year old, means previous owner had a 4 season bus pass which he obviously preferred to use.

Why do you think that?
I have a 22yr old bike with 26k miles on it and don't have a bus pass....but also own a 30yr old bike with 75k miles as well as a 16yr old bike with 61k miles

Best way to answer your question is with another. Would you put heated grips, fancy levers and a new can on your own 20yo bike, and why??

That "tasty extra" can is replacing a standard one, with such low mileage it should be pristine, ffs.

There are inherent issues with any bike with excessively low mileage, as a collector you'd be aware of that. The seller is not forthcoming in his ad - to allay any fears there. For as good as the bike may be, it could still be a project (oil seals and gasgets) to keep it back on the road.

I've 32k mls on a 26 year old bike... I use it 5 days a week most of the year for a short commute, and then I use my other bike, and then in between I use other people's bikes, it starts, runs, drives, and stops as it should with no issues. Using a bike a few times a year is enough to prevent it degrading badly

This one caught my eye on the daily trawl - reminds me of years ago in work where one of the lads had the 900cc version

Very over priced I reckon, looks tatty and it's never good when there's a booster pack in the photos and he says it "starts and drives".

One in work back in the day was sweet - gunmetal grey, and sounded sweet as a nut starting up - especially as it was in the underground carpark!
