Default Relay Clicking...

When I turn on the ignition on my R6, when completely cold, there is a relay clicking as seen in the video.

This only happens once, if i turn the bike off and start again it's all good. Any ideas?

No issues starting it so just a weird noise!

Sounds like you know what you're talking about. Are you sure you're not just guessing?

Excellent, when someone's looking for advice, and says "Here's a video of the 'problem", and watching the video would have made you realise there wasn't a problem, instead of giving 'advice', based on...?

Carb R6 with a brand new battery, should have added that info too.

I'm not great but assuming no fuel pump with a carb? Any other ideas Gixxer?

You think because it isn't injection it shouldn't have a fuel pump?

I dunno. Maybe it doesn't. Have a Google and see

E2A: That's the sound of a diaphragm pump. A high pressure injection pump priming sounds completely different.

That is a fuel pump priming - a few carb Yamahas have them.

Sorry, my previous reply to Gixxer I actually mistyped. Should have read that I assumed there was no fuel pump on a carb bike. Thanks for the help!

It's not causing any issues on starting so I'll take it as the fuel pump priming and it's not an issue. Seemed like a relay/solenoid click hence the post!

Deffo the fuel pump (I even watched the video )

Pumping enough to fill all the carbs though - it should only run that much if the bike was out in the sun for a week and everything evaporated from the float bowls
Although, an air bubble in the system might cause that too (or a pinhole letting air in/leaking fuel out??)

Too often... It's nearly as bad as people googling a symptom and posting the first result they find as the definitive answer.

My FJ makes the exact same fucked up sound.
It's the fuel pump.

If n is the greatest positive integer representing the number of people that you like and you then meet n+1 new people, must you now hate yourself too
