I get that there rare bikes but I just don't like them
I was never a big fan of the older style of bike and even if I won the lotto I still would not buy either of them. Would you?

They'll be bought by someone who will just sit and look at them.
I'd rather a bike I can take out and have a bit of fun on.

You wouldn't get one lap out of it cause ballymount Honda had there hands on it and they don't know nothing about bikes with round pistons nevermind Fecking oval ones. Watch my two posts in here magically dissapear by the end of the day

Mmmhh... nah, I'll pass. They're not great looking to be honest and I would much prefer a brand new one with all the power and toys.

My thoughts exactly. If I was going to drop massive money on a bike I would want something I could ride wherever I wanted to

Cool in the 90s but for me no use unless you like collecting old stuff to look at and paying stupid money to do so. I think both just look gigantic and ugly to be honest. But the whole retro thing appeals to some

Wouldn't be my choice but, if I had the cash, I'd love to put some into old machines that might accrue some value if taken care of and kept original. More fun than investing! You can't take a pension fund for a spin on a Sunday and if you choose the right bike/get lucky you could get a better return (if you were so inclined). Could also lose the lot, I suppose!

The trick would picking the 'future classic' and taking care of it.

The 'trick' would be to not drop a valve or mangle your investment while trying to keep up with a bandit on the backroads.

M50 Retail are selling off a batch of last model KTM's at a heavy discount that were hidden in storage out back for the past number of years ( instead of being displayed on the showroom floor ) maybe they thought they'd appreciate in value too !

That NR750 RC40 was an interesting engineering exercise all the same though, kind of looks like an V8 engine with the pistons joined together ;

I'd have an NR750 as an investment but it would have to have tiny mileage. That one in the DD ad is ragged...
