Hi all,

Thursday night I had my pride and joy (and means of getting to work in town) stolen from outside the gaf in Portmarnock. It was taken in the middle of the night.

Black Fireblade 06 CW 5018.

Very pissed off and doubt there'll be much luck in getting it back.

All in all, I worked out, over three year's between paying the excess and losing the no claims bonus, even if insurance pays out the full value, it will cost me around 2k.

F***ers.

bike theft seems to be really getting out of control, you'd want to be carrying a baseball bat around with you...

From my experience and anyone I've spoke to, it's not just bikes stolen they turn a blind eye to... I've had several things robbed over the years and every single time it's the same shit.. Ringing and ringing and ringing the guard who's away, off shift, on the beat etc to find out info and then never hear back.. I think taken the law in your own hands will reveal a better result.. Just another part of this countries system that doesn't work

I never park it outside that Lidl store, its too dodgy around there. There's an indoors carpark at the back of Aldi across the road from that Lidl...safer there.

A local builder had his tools robbed out of his van. He had a mate in the gaurds who was told by the sargeant in the station not to be wasting his time looking for the stolen gear, get out on the bypass and catch a few speeders. You'd have to start wondering if AGS are even fit for purpose anymore.

Dublin in general is a shite hole......its just ot luck if your bike is taken or not

just dont make it easy, thats all you can do.

like i said many times before, when i hear of foreign bikers wanting to visit, i tell them avoid at all costs.

At the moment its around 6 bikes a day in the Dublin area, that's a combination of young lads taking them to burn around on and other higher spec bikes almost to order.

The first kind always turn up thrashed or burned but the higher spec stuff ain't turning up, with the volume being taken they have to be leaving in containers or trucks

Stig, has any or many of the bikes robbed in both Dublin and countrywide had the result of death to any of the little cunts?
How many bikers,on paper, have been killed on the roads this year as opposed to actual bikers vs scumbags joyriding into a pole? I wish the powers that be would discriminate between the two.

Unfortunately the figures don't get separated and the general public tar us all with the same brush because of that one bike that flew past them at crazy speed.

9 times out of 10 the little shits appear to survive smacks that you can guarantee would wipe out the likes of you and me, and they are on their toes before the bike has even stopped moving

Hi lads,
My bike was robbed from my apartment complex underground carpark in Cabinteely last night. Gotta spread it around the net a bit but it's most likely gonna be chopped or shipped away. Has a good few identifiable bits:

- Renthal Bars with blue tips
- Carbon wrapped headlight where it would have been chrome
- Blue tint on headlight glass
- 45,500 miles on the clock
- Tax disc expired 2 days ago. Have the new disc in my wallet. Fuck sake :p
- Rare enough ART exhaust
- Shotgun LED tails with some of the lower LEDs not working
- LED strip hanging before the rear shock
- Carbon wrapped rear handle

Cheers!
