Why is it that in 2005 Ireland is the only place that any moron who has an L Licence can drive a powerful car, jeep, Truck or Bus without any training. Yet a bike under 25 and you are only allowed a 125cc?
e.g wifes brother 23 thick as 2 planks passed his theory test and thinks he can drive. I asked 2 questions on right of way and speed limit. He hadn't a clue yet he has a licence to kill. (my kids are barred from his car).
I bring my 15 year old to school on my Bandit and my 10 year old camping on the Bandit. They both know what a blind bast--d is and why Dad gives a driver a slap to how should we say wake them up. (small no.plate = short fuse).

i think ireland is the only country where....

1) you can fail a test to prove you are a incompetent driver - and get back in the car and drive for another 2 YEARS

2) your car can fail a test to proove its not roadworthy - and get back into it and drive away

Liamo your missing the point a biker rides to live. A driver of a car/truck/bus will walk away if she/ he kills you. Only today I had to point out to a thick C--t that crossing in front of a bike can be danger to a drivers face. The answer I got (I was on the phone and didn't see you). Driver training means live or death to bikers.

Charlie do you think it's the nut behind the wheel that needs the NCT or the LAW changed? I know one day I will be killed on my bike after all 24 years on a bike and knocked off 3 times by cars and twice by vans (A few by Droping the knee)
It has to happen.

Even better, they give you an official certificate to say you're incompetent before you get back in your car to drive home.

As far as i'm aware its the law that a 'L' driver is not supposed to be in a car/van/jeep/etc without a fully licensed driver.

Its also law that an 'L' plated driver must display the 'L' plate at all times. It is an offence not to do so.

Its law that an 'L' plated driver is not allowed to use motorways.

You can sit a theory test for your Provisional licence without ever having sat behind the wheel.

Congrats, you are now licensed to maim and kill

Only on 1st Provisional.... experienced enough on 2nd provisional to cause mayhem on the motorway solo.......
