Any Other Relevant Info :

I haven't had this to long really but the money needs to be freed up for other uses, I bought it around last June and the intention was to use it for commuting to work, hence why I bought the luggage for it which wasn't easy to find. But now that I've a new job and have a Van for work its getting practically no use.

I bought it in CC's in Kells, its ok but I did a few bits to it then to get it a bit more road worthy, new front disc's and pads, new rear pads and caliper seals, new chain and sprockets, changed oil and filters. The tyres are ok and it rides ok. I also put 1" spacers under the top yoke which make it a bit more comfortable. I bought the luggage for it then, I usually just use it as a topbox, there is a second box with it but the latch is broken but they can be bought from the manufacturer (Krauser is the brand). The rack for the sides is easily removed and installed, quick release 90 degree turn fastners. I also have a rear seat hump as well.

The bad points, and there are plenty of them, firstly the paint isn't great, both side fairings have been painted at some stage but weren't lacquered so the paint is quite dull, the crash bungs on it show some evidence of having gone over at some stage. It could probablely use a battery too, I'm a bastard for not sticking the maintenance charger on it and leaving it for a few weeks between starts. Could use a new rear disc too and the rear caliper probably needs to be bled again as I didn't get all the air out of it. The clocks are a bit funny in that when the ignition is turned off the fuel and temp don't always go back to zero but when you turn the ignition on there fine, also the clock resets every time you turn the ignition off.

I had one problem with it the first while I had it in that I used to get a weird sort of flat spot low down in the revs but this model has the fuel filter in the fuel pump so I removed that, cleaned the strainer in the pump and the tank and also put new fuel lines on it with an in line filter and it seems to have made it better so I think its solved now.

It is what it is basically, its by no means in great shape but its not a wreck either.

Sorry, literally only seeing this post now, I'd rather sell it with the bike but if I decide otherwise I'll let you know.

Thanks.

This is still for sale by the way.

how much without the luggage bro, asking for a friend, Iano above might buy the luggage off you, and thats a very decent honest add, done the same myself when selling the bandit but the weird thing is it actually puts people off, so to me that means people would prefer bullshit adds, mint busa for sale and then when viewing they come across the problems, cant keep everyone happy

she has a petrol guage too, why the fuck suzuki did not put them on the k gixxers is beyond me, for the sake of the extra weight i suppose the 30gramms would make such a difference in the power to weight

pm sent

Gona make one last effort to get rid of this, if not I'll just hang on to it as it's all the bike you'll ever need really.

I used it last weekend to head from kinnegad down to dingle and back via wexford and there wasn't a bother on it. I got a new latch for the second pannier so the two boxes are good now.

Only other thing I've noticed is that the fork compression adjusters at the bottom of the forks are seized and the back tyre is probably starting to square off a little, other than that I've had no bother with it, threw oil and filter at it last week too.

Looking for €2500 but would probably be open to reasonable offers.

In some ways I can understand, its a lot of money for something thats pushing on 20 years old, but on the other had its the cheapest one out there.

Bike value in ireland is weird, you spend a little bit more money and jump way up in years, but everything is worth 2k no matter how old it is.

Also maybe worth adding that I might do a deal for something like a fazer 1000, maybe a bandit 1200 or something along those lines. I just can't handle anything even resembling sporty these days for some reason.

try adverts if ya want a bandit or fazer as a swap oif you can handle the place, if you posted her up on fb she be gone by the end of the day, thats the only thing fb is good for , you can post her on one bike sell group and a box comes up so you can also if u want post her on a dozen of em with a click, ive sold heaps of stuff on there , way better than dd or adverts, just from my own selling experience I only had one wanker that said he would buy and didnt all the others were bangon, tip Ask for a deposit if someone makes you an offer, dont matter if its a toaster, tv or 2018 superbike that usually sorts out the real buyers from the shitheads
