Arrow 2017 Race Licence application from your couch

As i have already received my race licence for 2017 a few lads were asking me on how i went about it without attending a seminar.

Step1: Print out the Race licence Application from a HERE
Fill out page 1 of the form to begin with. sign and date it.

Step2: Anti-doping can now be done online also, which is very handy.
Their website is HERE
On their page click on Create Account using your email address.
That'll give you access to the seminar itself. You will need to watch all videos one after the other while taking small quiz during video presentation. After completing watching every video the very last tab called DIPLOMA will become available to be clicked on. When you click on it you will have a PDF format Cert, print that and include with your licence.
On the Race licence application form write down that Anti-Doping was done online and cert is attached.

Step3: Read Flag Seminar Presentation and make sure you know your flags, presentation HERE
After you have completed reading theough the Flag presentation sign page number two of the Race Licence form stating that flag seminar was done online. Sign and date it.

Step4: Pay your Licence fee Online HERE
After payment is completed through paypal, write down paypal address you have used for the payment on page number 1 of race licence application form, it'll help MCUI to track down your payment.

Step5: If under aged, Parent/guardian needs to sign page number 3 of the Licence application form, if adult just throw the page away.

Step6: Fill in Medical Questioner on page 4, if answered NO to every question there is NO need for a medical examination by a GP.

Step7: If previous Race licence was held within last year then there is no need for a pasport size ID picture as MCUI will have your picture on-file, if in doubt just attach a picture to the licence form.

Step8: You will need to be a member of a motorcycle club of some sort. Their details need to be entered on Page 2 of the Licence application form, it will also require an official Club stamp and club Secretary signature to confirm. So either post this page out to your club with the club membership fee or get it done in person in your club.

Step9: Final step, put all of the above into an envelope and post it to MCUI to be processed. Their address is at the top of page 1 of Licence Application form.

Any questions let me know.

Thanks Andrei, might spell the end of alot of flag seminars run by clubs, glad to see membership of a club is still a requirement as that would spell the end of the Irish championship leaving only the masters which could disappear anytime.

Sorry i forgot to add for the first licence applicants.

You will need to include a passport size ID picture with the application form.

also, you will not get your licence until you have completed the Assessment day which is normally ran in march.

But the rest of the process is as in the original post.

Also on a separate note, there is the need to register a race number each year.

This can be done by calling Ivan Davidson in NI on 00 44 28 9181 5918

You don't need a race licence to do trackdays . They'll be asking this year if you want the licence for racing or trackdays , if it's for trackdays they'll tell you to do the mondello training day instead to get a trackday licence . You can also do trackdays with a full licence .

If it's your first time racing you need to apply for your licence and also do the training/assessment day .

The date for the newcomers' assessment this year is the 11th of March. Entry forms will be posted after this weekend and you must have an entry in. There will be no entries on the day.Any problems you can give me a ring. 0868762185. Sheila Logan

Its definitely worth doing regardless if you are looking to become faster on the track or not.

The bike knowledge, confidence and riding improvements you'll gain will be just as valuable to you while riding your bike on routine commutes.
