Default Cat farting around the Himalayas

Would have to be on the Enfield Himalayan, moved from West Bengal into Sikim, skirted into Nepal a few times, open border to a fair degree

looks a fabulous trip, hope to do something similar in a couple of years, maybe 2020, id say the himalayan is ideal for it too.

Long way from home there!, any problems with vision / altitude / lack of oxygen?

Is that mnt.everest in the background? I think there’s a biker.ie member up there some place.

All going well Brendan, no issues so far but we haven't gone much over 10,000ft, 95% vegetarian since we arrived around 9 days ago, that mountain is Kangchenjunga, the 3rd highest in the world but a holy mountain so climbers are not allowed go to the summit, Everest is around 900ft higher, planning if allowed by the military to ride to Zero Point Sikkim at 15,000 ft, not sure if my chest is up to it, roads are crazy, drivers worse, got rear ended today but no issues, ur man fucked off but not b4 I gave him a cead mile Failte with my middle finger

Did you head over with overlanders or on a guided tour ?

Stick up a google map of your route or whereabouts so that people can follow as it might be helpful for others on the fence about going.

I often meant to tip over for afternoon tea with the Dalai Lama to discuss religion and interior decorating, but then a mate down the pub said he was on the CIA's payroll (and the monks would do your head in) which kind of took the perennial gloss off the whole thing.

You must be down to 15bhp on that enfield at those oxygen levels and running rich / using loads more fuel, is it very noticeable ?

It's mad to be above the clouds while on land ! Watch out for dizziness & mountain sickness on those gravel roads with 1000ft drops boss

No need to be jealous, get out and live life lads, easy for me to say but... most of the route here, hit 60 km/h a few times, averaging 25-30, food is awesome but anything spicy for breccy is a no no, today's 120 km took us 9 hrs including breaks, mad spot but loving it guys, some of these dots were in Nepal, 12 of us with Chris Davidson from Royal Enfield Adare, the bikes took a huge hammering last days, can't think of another road bike that wouldn't have collapsed..

Hi Fred, rest day, heading further north tomorrow, biking to Zero point in Sikkim state, close to the Chinese border at 15,500 feet asl if the military give us permits and the weather allows, I might not be up to the altitude, hope all will be ok, supposed to be stunning up there.

Rub the Buddha's belly and drive the bawg out of it Charles, you can pick up a new one of those Enfield's down in Kolkata for €2,500 if you write that off down a steep ravine so it's hardly the end of the world, often spent more on a Blazer, I'd say coming back down again might be a bit more challenging on loose gravel though..
