Default 99 fazer 600 driving rough at times

Fazer 99 driving rough at times.
Shuddering when driving at times, then driving fine for a few minutes, then shuddering again.
No particular order or anything.
Anyone any ideas ?
A fella suggested diptane, would this he any use ?
Thanks.

Intermittent problems can be a pain in the hole to find.
It sounds like she's dropping a cyl, finding which one though is the fun part.
Start with the plugs, then coils, leads etc.
Could be water in the fuel too, fuck it,could be anything
Dipthane won't do anything, all that does is clean carbon in the engine.

What he said. I had the same trouble with my '03 and it turned out to be the fuel pump. It's shudder like crazy accelerating between 2500-5000rpm, then it'd be grand when cruising at 5000rpm.

But just as easily could be anything...

No. They are fine. Put new plugs and air filter in the weekend.

Did you do the plug caps? Try running the bike in the dark and look for arcing around the cap. It's a common problem on the fazer. These NGKs are a cheap replacement for the originals https://www.ebay.ie/itm/NGK-Spark-Pl...273M:rk:1:pf:0

Fill your tank, bypass the pump and see does that fix it

Honestly can't remember, cos someone reversed into it not too long later and got it all fixed under the one bill.

Daragh in Moto PitStop looked after it for me.

It's under the tank, black cylindrical unit with a Mitsubishi logo on the end cap. Take the feed that's going to the carbs and have it coming straight off the tank. Might not allow enough flow for wide open throttle but it'll allow you to drive through the flat spot you're having, which is enough to diagnose the issue, probably need bit of fuel hose to do it though

Left it in with thomaz in mutz nutz leixlip.
Sound guy, the carbs need to be cleaned and balanced on it. 150 which is a good price. Can't wait to get it back fixed.
