I would assume that long standing members on here have verfiied ' Anne Marie Magee ' is actually a real person connected with the dunlop family before posting a link to her crowdfunding page on here, and that it's not actually a scam like that TT link.

Yup. 100% Genuine.

I donated few a quid myself last night.

I think the lady running the page is a partner of someone from Crossans (?).

Permission was granted by the Dunlop family.

They're at 11k + GBP already.

Fair play to everyone donating & the ppl involved supporting Williams family.

Still hard to believe.

The funeral will be held on Wednesday July 11 at Garryduff Presbyterian Church followed by interment in the adjoining churchyard. The same church which held the services for both Robert and Joey Dunlop.

It comes as a book of condolences were opened for the 32-year-old following his tragic death at the Skerries 100.

Books of Condolence will be available for members of the public to sign at Ballymoney Town Hall, Coleraine Town Hall, Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre, Limavady and Sheskburn House, Ballycastle.

For the funeral the family have requested family flowers only with donations in lieu to the Injured Riders Welfare Fund – c/o James McMullan, 22 High Street, Ballymoney, BT53 6AQ.

( nonsense about bikers / bikes not being welcome has been deleted, please don't post any more rubbish from bookface here )

Jesus that's fookin heartbreaking to read see those photos and read the article about William not liking racing as much since his father died. Brings it home the cost the riders and families pay.

Engine blew, oil everywhere, nothing he could do - good safe rider who seldom took chances, same with Dan Kneen, very few know what 'actually' happened him - but it wasn't rider error or a lack of talent, just bad luck ! anyway this isn't the thread for all that, and the 'lets ban road racing' topic will probably get put to bed shortly once everyone is done venting too.
I can't see anything wrong with that guy asking if it was mechanical failure.
We are all feeling saddened by the loss of such a brave rider and we are wondering what initially went wrong.
Perhaps the poster is trying to learn anything which might help him maintain his bike safe.
(Just my view)
