Default Custom chopper value

If one was to try to sell a completely custom chop, would you advertise all over Europe and put a bigger price on it than you could ever get here, allowing for the shipping rather than just advertising here? Asking for a friend.

very much depend on how custom is custom

if it were a Delboy monstrosity I doubt advertising it over a wider area would be of any benefit at all.

If it was truly a custom chop, well engineered, and genuinely special then advertising it here, in the UK and further afield might be worth it.

Bear in mind that a buyer will want detailed photos, know exactly what is not standard or what has changed from original spec (they will after all want to know how to get spare parts and consumables) and then decide if a trip to Ireland, the cost of shipping etc is worth the cost.

so what you are asking is very much how long is a piece of string. No photos, no spec, no history, How is anyone going to give you a genuine answer to your question?

It's not the custom level, it's the market. Here, it would take a serious enthusiast to pay for it, to build it from scratch is big bucks on order. But in Europe, for a bike previously registered, it might be worth exploring. I've seen shite customs sell for 10k plus.

You would 100% have to advertise it outside Ireland.

It might be worth taking it to fagfest/harleyfest/bikefest and park it up with a price on it.

I guess the further you cast your net the better your chances of catching a fish. I'd at least advertise in the UK. A mate of mine had an MV Agusta for sale and a chap from England arrived over and bought it on the spot.

Beautiful bike, hope you get what she's worth.

There's always a market for everything, it it's well priced it should sell.

I would definitely recommend expanding to other markets, if online go to the specific enthusiast groups on faceballs or forums to get the attention of the appropriated audience.

While it's not my style, I can appreciate that amount of work put on to it but would have no clue or gauge on how to price it. Going through the right outlets should give you a good base to compare and price accordingly.

Bikefest or other bike shows might not be a bad idea at all either.

Cheers,
Rami

I'm not sure....they have some odd taste out there. Fashion would be against a Swedish style right now. They seem to be all about the bobbers and baggers right now.

If I charged for photos I'd never need to buy petrol! Every time I stop for gas it's crazy. Kids love her.

Cheers. I'm not certain I want to sell her. They are very special and Ger really did a great job on her. I was more curious to find opinions on advertising outside of ireland, mostly because there are some good European bike selling apps like autoscout.
