i have driven a restricted bike and the power in them wouldnt pull ya outa bed, so you pretty much would wanna be very talented at wheelying to manage one..

am i wrong or were you not there to learn how to wheelie? fuck it this arguement is a waste of time anyhow, if yiz wanna advise him one way or the other its not my place to stop ya, tis an open forum, off with ya, im a bigger ballix for starting an arguement over it when ive better things to be at
Once again I didnt advise the lad at all. I've seen my mate wheelie his SV650 which is restricted, not exactly the same thing alright but the principal is the same. Your not a bollix at all, and to be fair you didnt start an argument...theres nothin wrong in throwing the lad advice..but you and I know that he's damn well going to go out and throw the kitchen sink at trying to get that bike up on one wheel. Like I did (and you probably did) on bikes that 'in theory' shouldn't be able to pop a wheelie. As for going to learn....I've been doing wheelies on the road for a few yrs but went up to learn how to pop them from a standing start or low/no speed without cooking me clutch.

you can clutch up most anything - some exceptions of course... rocket III will just lay rubber down the road for example :P

the general advice is to start learning with clutched up wheelies, as with powerwheelies, you're generally going too fast by the time the wheel is in the air (for when something goes wrong)
