Question Exchanging oem led Indos for aftermarket wonít work!

So the bike has leds all round and I bought a set of aftermarket led indicators assuming it would be a straight swap, but thatís not the case.
When I connect up the new indicator it wonít work and the oem one on the front stops blinking.
I thought that because the bike came standard with led headlights and Indos that the wiring was set up for leds. Does the oem indicators have resistors built into them or something?

LEDs are polarity concious so you might have the wires the wrong way round?
Maybe?

You need an electronic flasher relay or a dummy load (resistor) to kid the old relay into thinking there's a bulb there instead of an LED.

I assumed the relay would have worked fine as it’s currently running leds
Is this what I need?

If there are LED indicators already on it, they must either have resistors or an electronic flasher relay. The new ones should work (assuming you're using the same wiring)
Yes, those in the link are the dummy load for LED indicators, but check what's already there first.

Not enough voltage? they are probably rated for higher resistance on the OE indos

I will take originals fully off to have look . I only disconnected them to try new ones first to no avail with original connections

Funny you say that - I got the cbr250 ecu in the post yesterday! I'm off next week, so will do the swapover then. It's meant to be the best performance gain for the price.
I got mine from Motors Head Japan for around Ä160 all in. Not stopped by the Customs wankers either, which was nice!
