Default CB1000 Big One

Bike Make : Honda

Bike Model : CB1000 F Big One

Year : 1993

Price : 1350

Mileage : 45,000 km

Colour : Black

Extras : Scottoiler, Hagon rear shocks, engine crash bobbins, radiator cover, Piug fly screen, fender extenders (front and back)

Overall Bike Condition : mechanically sound, cosmetically overall good.

Tyre/Chain/Sprocket Condition : Front less that 1000km, rear good for another 1500-2000 km

Service History/Receipts/Recent Service work : oil + filters changed early this year. Fresh battery (got it with the bike) fitted two months ago, kept on trickle charger when bike not in use.

Non Restricted/Shop Restricted/Factory Restricted : Factory restricted to 190km/h

Bike Location : Ashbourne

Irish/English Registered : Irish

Any Other Relevant Info :

Real muscle bike with strong torquey engine, very good and comfy commuter.
Fitted with Scottoiler for easy chain maintenance

Slip on exhaust (very nice sound)
Got this bike over a year ago to drive around the town and occasionally to work. Since I moved outside Dublin I found have no need of it anymore (have cage for that).
It won't win any beauty contest but engine and brakes are strong and does intended job very well. Good fun on quick blast too, thanks to plenty of down low torque.
Might also suit someone looking for an easy restoration project as she's lacking only in cosmetics.

As I'm working mad hours I'd prefer first contact over text message.

Thanks lads!

If guess they're restricted same way as other jap 90s he dad, on the speedometer, so it's as easy as filing down a lobe.

deffo not washers on throttle bodies, as she pulls on whole rev range in first through fourth gear and only when hits 190kmh, rev limiter kicks in - that's at around 7k (as I recall) in fifth gear.

The lobe is behind the clocks.... it's a brass contact and when the Speedo gets round that far it causes the bike to well... eh... restrict.... ... had it on the rvf 400 aswell.... don't have to file it down either... just bend it backwards slightly so the contacts miss....

Very interesting! I didn't know this way of restriction - you learn something new every day eh?!

To get to the cap you need to lift the tank. Expansion reservoir is behind the left side cover (where the fuel cock is).
