Yeps my thinking on the box buying thing was well wrong going by everything everyone said, so glad I asked- I just didnt want her lying up while I had no transport and was waiting for a few of them to arrive

If some need thicker and others need thinner you might get away with just swapping them around.

If not , maybe call a breaker or workshop to see if they keep any used ones lying around.

i wasn't suggesting your shims might be worn, i was asking the guy with the box of new ones what kind of edge the new ones have

Regarding the HotCams shims :
There is a slight chamfer machined into the edges.

There are two separate boxes :

9.48 : 1.20 to 2.40
&
9.48 : 2.45 to 3.50
