Aha... The sweeping indos have built in resistors, I'd say theres also resistors in line somewhere on the stock wiring, so between them you're voltage is probably to low to get them lit

It wouldn't be great giving them 12v straight off a battery, they usually operate between 2-5v....

Is there anything on the packaging for the new ones? I know they're chinesium but generally speaking most of the stuff like that works ok... They may have a circuit looking for the normal 12v on stock wiring that they reduce down internally. The fact they flashed off the battery kinda points in that direction. Trace the wiring on the block connector back and see is there resistors in line somewhere, you might have to remove them to get enough juice to the indos. I fucking hate indictors they give some weird symptoms....

No packaging at all and nothing in the description when purchasing. I think Iíll check them on a bike with standard bulbs and standard relay see if they work and the flash rate is correct on that

How many wires are at the relay?
This is a description from a set on eBay:

Assuming your bike had a 3 pin flasher relay, remove it. The 1st pin is the live feed, the 2nd pin is from the switch and the 3rd pin is earth.

You just need to bridge the live feed and the switch together - forget about the earth.

You can fit an in-line fuse, but it's usually not necessary.

So the relay may be fucking with the power, you say they flash with direct power, maybe they have there own flash rate incorporated....

It's not about being stupid, the bikes power to the indicators changes when the key is in the ignition and switched on and you actually turn the bike on.
