Bollox stats I'd say. RSA have a bee in their bonnet with motorcyclists of late. Of course there are some idiots among us just like cagers, cyclists, truck drivers etc....

Agenda setting shit.

True dat!

Must've been some chase. Glad no one was taken out; but I wonder - since we're not talking about armed robbers or rapists; was it really in the public interest to chase this biker for 100km?!

I wonder, would there be any getting away from one of the sergeants on the big Beemers?

i find even if you have one drink of alcohol and you are in the bike gear in a pub these days, you can feel eyes on you as you've just advertised you're drinking alcohol and riding a bike. Even if you only have the one/stick to limit.
Whereas a car driver drinking and driving is not necessarily obvious he or she is drinking and driving.

Well they would have a much better tank range I would imagine so as long as the bike cop can just keep up it would be a matter of waiting for the blade to run out of fuel, on most Irish roads it is probably also easier to go fast on the beemer

Anybody know where I could pick up another fireblade for handy enuff cash?, preferably with the ignition wires joined by someone other than Stevie Fookin' Wonder this time.

Must have been a robbing cnut riding that cos anyone (real biker, not a robbing cnut) with decent riding skills would easily loose the cops on a blade or similar and the shame of not being able to loose them for 100km
Prob one of them moped thieves and had it in first gear for the entire chase

The gardai have radios and mobile phones. Anyone that thinks they can outrun the garda is stupid, and anyone who tries it even more stupid.

No problem at all to them to have multiple vehicles available, so that cars or bikes can be ahead of the bike being followed. Pretty certain the garda bike was well able to keep up, but what is he going to do once he has caught up? he could hardly kick the scumbag of the bike. All they could do is follow until the blade rider gave up and stopped, made a mistake and crashed or was stopped at a road block.

I forgot to say "if they wanted to" in my previous post
How the hell does a chase last 100 km anyway
we have more roads than any other country per square mile if someone is really committed to escaping from a chase I do believe it is possible with the right bike and riding skills

so after all the BS on the radio, did anybody get harassed by the fuzz over the weekend

I did a spin round the country on Saturday and Sunday only saw a couple of speed vans and one or 2 cops cars, no checkpoints at all
