Default Old type Yamaha Key

Folks, does anyone know where I can get a copy made of an old type Yamaha key (1993)? Anywhere I have tried do not stock the blanks.
I'm living around west Dublin/Kildare area.
Thanks
APW

I bought one on ebay before and just bought it to a key cutter to have it ground into shape.

Find a proper locksmith instead of a supermarket or shoe repair shop.
Cuneen Locksmiths in Cork had suitable blanks in stock and they were
able to cut a new key for my Suzuki.

http://www.cunneens.ie/

As Tadhg said, the cheapest option is to find a suitable blank
on eBay and get someone local to cut it.

cunneens are very good lock smiths but they are very expensive, like they cut keys to code so if you loose it you can go in and get a new key which is great but for and normal key for a house or a yamaha key ther local cobbler is the man and 7-10 euro for the job.
the lad in paul street has suzukui blanks and done my one for 10e

I got a couple of old ones cut for different makes by Cleggs in Naas . I was quite surprised . Might be worth a shot.

Timpson are good. Chaps in Clarehall do loads of types. Might be able to call/email about the key before making a trip

Thanks Lads, so all is not lost!
Cleggs is not too far from me so I'll give them a go.

As above, any reputable locksmith will sort you out, 100%. Even if they don't have the blank they can order it and have it in a few days.

When I needed a copy for my R6 I went to my local locksmith he ordered the key copied it and also setup the immobilizer and all... never had an issue with that key at all.

PLS locksmiths celbridge cut a 93 Yamaha key for old type barrel for me a couple of years ago. I'd be fairly sure they still have blanks left.

I've used the Keyhole Lock and Safe Company on Pleasants Street, Dublin 2 (off Camden Street) a few times and they are very good.

Got keys cut for a 92 ZXR and a 87 Honda.

Brown Brothers Locksmith in Dun Laoighre did a Yamaha key for me a while back. He had the key blanks on the shelf and did it on the spot. Was on only a few euro. Great service https://brownbros.ie/

The Lock Hospital, Suir Road, Kilmainham, Dublin 8, I've used them many times for older and modern keys, I've always found them to be excellent and have never let me down.

I got my key in Cor-Key in Celbridge, great service. He didn't have the key in stock but got one, called me and had it ready. Eight euro, fair deal and very helpful and friendly service. Thanks folks.
