Had that last week in calnans on George's quay, corks finest pub,end of.
Barman had a promo bottle on the shelf and very kindly opened it for us,gratis.
Lovely stuff, but mad money,he said it was around 15 euro I think, not that he had more in stock.I like trying different beers, stouts, and ales, but most of them are a slight variation on the others, this was something special though.

I paid 15 for mine from the abbots when it was released. Made my own homebrew version with more pronounced whiskey flavours too

Nice, thinking of trying home brewing, pics?
Try getting some of that now...not available, frans bought back most of the stock. Few bottles in abbots but no longer on the shelf. Bought one for 15 before christmas and had to again just there to keep for the ark. Price gone up.

I made this using coopers home brew kits, stout and dark ale mixed together. While it was fermenting I had a bag of toasted oak chips soaking in a pot full of Jameson. When fermentation was complete I put the oak chips in the beer for a few days and then bottled it. It turned out really well.
Coopers homebrew kits are a good and inexpensive way to get into home brewing, the beer you make can be surprisingly good.
