Question New kawasaki HP2 Sport tourer or next gen Z1000SX 2018 ?

Load of rumours around re the next gen HP2 Sports Tourer ? or else the new turbo powered next gen Z1000SX for 2018.

As pics show the bike looks looks quite real with a menacing front end, featuring and intelligent lighting layout.

Im sure we'll find out more over the next week or two.

Apparently Kawasaki may move forward with the HP styling queues across some of the range, including smaller capacity bikes.

The bike in the first picture looks very like the H2.
I think it looks the dogs dangles.

not much franco, dribs and drabs, new video, shows feck all.....

but it will be a H2 type tourer with emphasis on lower speeds for crusing and the added option of having a few turbo ponies when you need them. Two tier seat with higher bars etc.

kawasaki say:
Third iteration of Kawasaki’s unique supercharged family breaks cover.
Until now the Kawasaki supercharged story has been almost entirely performance focused. For 2018 Kawasaki will unveil a brand new machine at the EICMA show on 7 November utilising balanced supercharger technology to create even greater low to mid-range pulling power.
While none of the exhilarating forced induction performance feeling is missing, this unique power feeling is now joined by superior fuel economy and an overall riding feeling directed towards the sport touring market.
Supercharge your journey with the only manufacturer that can deliver such a machine –be prepared for Sport Touring to accelerate impressively and efficiently into its next exciting phase.

I'd say they're fairly robust, there was turbo bikes 40 or so years ago and they were grand. Once you keep to servicing it should keep going

Superchargers don't generate the same level of heat as turbos so they last far longer.
Also Kawasaki spent a lot of time and money on development of this system, they didn't just buy them in and bolt them on.
Seemingly they have big plans for blowers on bikes and with all the emissions bullshit coming down the line,I'd say they won't be alone.

I cant see it being like the mcn mock up. The aged "gtr" look is not in keeping with their current form.

It'll be an intersting bike, if they nail it they are quids in.

The comfy agile frugal sports tourer brief has yet to be accomplished fully by any manufacturer. Whats the hold up ?

Suzuki & honda are into turbo assisted engines, could be nxt yr (?).

But you can only commend kawasaki, the H2 is bonkers nuts showboating & yet they made it. Pity about the price tag.

This H2 tourer will be one to watch.
