Default thinking of upgrading

Hi, i am thinking of upgrading my current bike to a 250 but don,t know what to go for. i have applied for the test and would like to get used to the new machine and power long before i do the test. i currently have a Marauder 125 which i have to say for my first time back on a bike in 14 years (got it last July) it is really a good bike. i have been driving it for over a year now so would like to trade up. don,t want anything to expensive as i am sure i will drop it at some stage and i promised my bank manager i wouldn,t do that to her. so if anyone has any ideas or places i should go when trading up, all advise welcome. i like the style of the marauder but i also like the honda hornet 250, so confused......

Why not just upgrade to the 250 Marauder if you like the 125. A bloke at work has one and it always looks good parked outside...or at least it does until I park me dragstar next to it

Would you not go for a 400 or 600cc yoke?

I used to have a 250 marauder and its a grand bike. Learner legal and all that. Bit limited ,its a 250 after all, but I went up and down the country on mine and not a bother on it. Very similar to the 125 but a lot more poke to it.
Grand we bike and usually a bit cheaper than the other 250 cruisers

just thought the might be something better out there that i,m missing just like my marbles. A bit worried about taking the test on a cruiser too considering they weight a ton and have the turning circle of a fire engine
