Default 98/01 fazer electrical , clocks , ign. probs

howyis, i have a fair bit of expereance with fazers but got a call from a member to have a look at his bike on friday and just wondered has anyone run into this fairly specifc problem , havent run into it meself so , ,,, he turned the ignition on and the speedo went nuts , then turned it on again and there was no power , then the odo had reset , im guessin its a loose block connector , in the ignition circuit , or bad connection at the clocks , hopefully its no more than that , but im basicly throwin this out in case anyone has come accross this on a fazer incase we can shortcut straight to the problem , i dont want to have him off the road too long, the bike is a spotless low milage bike, thanks ..........,

Jezus. No one's been back onto you. Bad sign IMO. I've posted loads of stuff on here and no reply. Upon reflection, it's due to no one know what the hell I was on about. Bmw have made stuff that is like fucking Joyce or something

Get it on camera. Give us a laugh

i could be wrong there but its a good place to start looking, chopper may have a far more logical and simpler solution, cdi's are generally expensive so wait it out and see what crops up
