Default mrs biking!

gonna surprise the missus with bike lessons. never ridden a bike before. she has a full car licence about 10 yrs. what do i need to get ( apart from my head examined) for her licence wise. thanks.

Being in a similar position to your unsuspecting missus I'd say this is a crackin' pressie

If she's an eager pillion she's likely to love this. She will need to do the theory test for the learner permit though....but then that's a small price to pay

Do she still have to do the theory test even if she has a full license for another,, ahem,, vehicle type

Yep, seperate theory exam for each different vehicle category, bikes, cars, trucks and buses

What my missus did for me was get a voucher from David Lyons (who I highly recommend), that way I had plenty of time to sort out getting my provisional.

sorry for not keeping ya posted as promised. ended up not getting her lessons cos wanted to see her reaction to the bike i got (eh her) first. got a really old cg125 (advertised here). she was bowled over with the gesture but as yet not too keen on the whole biking idea. win win situation for me cos i have a bike i wont loose money on and i get brownie points for inviting my other half into my passion, namely i was trying to include her (they love that). so no mrs biking just yet but she is cycling again so never say never.

better off keeping her off the bikes, they only become an annoyance, mine wanted to go on on the back of my yoke on the wed spin, ff's wouldn't want her knowing the relaxed pace we be doin
