This is still working i just tried it now.

Garmin Mobile XT GPS S60 With UK MAP - !00% working on N95 8GB

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi Guys,
Right no mesing about with this one! No need for any files being signed!
Just follow these simple steps and away ya go!

Create a folder on your desktop "SatNav" this will make it easier to work from. Download all the following to this folder.

First download
http://www8.garmin.com/software/Garm...nS60_41020.exe
http://rapidshare.com/files/80138452/garmin.rar

Maps

United kindom & Republic of Ireland:

http://rapidshare.com/files/82534830..._map.part2.rar
http://rapidshare.com/files/82540626..._map.part1.rar

MIRROR
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QTJNGGUF

Connect you phone to pc in data transfer mode and double click the Garmin installer you downloaded, it will start to transfer files to your memory

When this is done copy the folders within the garmin folder (should be "Help" and "Voices") to the "garmin" folder within the root of your memory card.

Launch GMXT on your phone, got to Settings -> About.

Make note of your "Card ID"

Launch the keygen, and enter the "Card ID" you see on GMXT About page.

Select Map product and hit the corresponding Generate button to generate both Device & Map unlock key.

Copy (CTRL+C) the Device unlock Code to clipboard.

Now open the Notepad and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as SW.UNL to your "SatNav" folder on your desktop.

Copy (CTRL+C) the Map unlock key to clipboard.

Open the Notepad again and paste (CTRL+V) the key and save the file as GMAPSUPP.UNL to your "SatNav" folder on your desktop.

**NOTE** THESE SHOULD NOT READ GMAPSUPP.UNL.TXT & SW.UNL.TXT
If they do you will have to remove the .TXT extension before the next step.

Put the phone back into Data Transfer mode connected to pc

Put your newly created files to your Garmin directory on your phone, Also put the map file in the folder too, In my case its gmapsupp.img (UK MAP)

Disconnect phone from pc and now start Garmin

Program should now recognize your built-in GPS
If its displaying "No GPS device can be found" goto Settings/System/Remote GPS Then enable "Attached GPS" Then click DONE

jib DONE

This is exactly what I'm looking for!

Unfortunately, some of the above links is not working - the URL is incorrectly typed in. When I click the click it brings up a webpahe with the URL containing the full stops in the URL as shown above! Can you please re-type the URL again - this time type in as text so I can copy & paste the URL instead of clicking it.

Edited:
After guessworking the URL I found the correct link:
http://www8.garmin.com/software/Garm...nS60_41020.exe (Clicky linky working)

There's an update version (v4.10.60) but I'm not sure if it'll work with Keygen:
http://www8.garmin.com/software/Garm...nS60_41060.exe (Clicky linky working)

I can't guesswork the URL for maps on rapidshare.

Ah no need to pay me, I don't offer services like that!

Garmin XT software is fu*king THE business! My only quipe is it is not as detailed as Nokia Maps (pre-loaded).

Ok, it WAS tricky for me, took me install, uninstall and then installed it properly. Basically I didn't follow instructions to the letter!

Below is the route I took which is basically the same as what mazzano4 posted:

Download all below files into a newly created folder, say, called SATNAV in C: drive i.e. C:\SATNAV

1. Download the Garmin installer v4.10.20 software from Garmin website
URL: ""http://www8.garmin.com/software/GarminMobileXTforSymbianS60_41020.exe"" (double quotes added to stop this post shortening the URL line)
Do not run it yet.

2. Download Voice & Help folder and keygen software (this is the Garmin and map unlocking key). All the folders and files are zipped into .rar file.
URL: "http://rapidshare.com/files/80138452/garmin.rar"

This above step is a pain in the 'ole! You'll have to click 'Free' button and wait for timer to count-down. After that you'll see 4 character code superimposed with dogs & cats outlines. Sometimes it is hard to read, try enter it correctly within 10 secs and hit 'Download' button. If you get an error message, repeat it until it starts downloading. Took me several attempts. It is a ploy to get you to pay up! If fails after 10 attempts, give it a break and try again after an hour. Try rebooting your broadband modem so it'll change to another IP address to fool Rapidshare.

When downloaded, unzip it into SATNAV folder, it'll create 'Garmin' subfolder within SATNAV.

If you don't have unzipping software use either 7zip or WinZip.

3. Download the IRL & UK map image file.
URL: "http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QTJNGGUF"

When downloaded, unzip it into SATNAV folder, it'll create 'gmapsupp' subfolder within SATNAV.

That's all the files you need to download.

4. Plug in your N95 to PC and select Data Transfer. (Make sure you are not using N95's File Manager browsing N95's Mass memory. Close file broswer if open. Mine came up as F: drive on PC's file browser. Drive letter may be different to yours.

5. Run the GarminMobileXTforSymbianS60_41020.exe software to transfer the installation file to N95. This will create Garmin folder in N95's E: root drive. Do not run GMobileXT on N95 yet.

6. Copy Voices & Help folders found in c:\SATNAV\Garmin folder into N95's Garmin folder. Just drag & drop them. Takes a while to transfer.

7. Copy the map file (gmapsupp.img) found in c:\SATNAV\gmapsupp folder into N95's Garmin folder. Drag & drop it.

8. Disconnect N95. On N95, bring up Menu and go to Applications submenu and find GMobileXT, start it to start installing it. You may get security warning, ignore it and continue. You might have to turn off security settings to complete it. No worries, it is not infected cos it came directly from Garmin themselves.

9. After successful installation, re-start GMobileXT to start the software, it is slow to start up. You will get 'No map' indicator and see an arrow on a blank map! On GMobileXT startup menu, go to settings, scroll down and navigate to About box & click it. Write Card ID number down. Shut down GMobileXT by exiting it.

10. Execute garmin_keygen.exe (it is in C:\SATNAV\Garmin\Garmin_Key_Gen folder).

11. Enter Card ID in 'Enter your Card ID here:" field and click first Generate button. Highlight it and CTRL-C it to copy it. Open notepad and paste the generated key by CTRL-V. Click File > Save as. On 'Save As' dialog, pull down Save as type: menu and select All files. Enter SW.UNL as filename and save it into C:\SATNAV.

12. On keygen, pulldown Select Map Product: menu and select City Navigator Europe NT v9 and click second Generate button. Highlight the 'Your map unlock code' field and CTRL-C it. Open blank notepad and CTRL-V the code in. Click File > Save as. On 'Save As' dialog, pull down Save as type: menu and select All files. Enter GMAPSUPP.UNL as filename and save it to C:\SATNAV.

13. Re-connect N95 and select Data Transfer. Copy SW.UNL & GMAPSUPP.UNL into N95's Garmin folder in mass memory (E: drive).

14. Disconnect N95. Switch off N95 and turn it back on. Start GMobileXT. Go into Settings and click System. Click Bluetooth GPS and select for Remote GPS. It won't find GPS - ignore the error. Leave it set as Remote GPS and go back to GMobileXT startup menu and exit the software. Turn off N95 and turn it back on.

15. Start GMobileXT and it should be able to access GPS. You may not see a map. Go outside so it gets a lock-on and go into Where to? and select Home and click Use Current Location to get a lock-on. Go back to start-up menu and view map, you should see a map!

If ya having any trouble downloading files, PM your address and I'll post out you a CD.

My fingers are on fire so better log off now! Have fun!

Disclaimer: if I made any mistake in above steps don't fu*king blame me!

Edit: A few posts went up while I was typing this.

I wouldn't have a clue. Have a look at GSM forum and go through the thread, I think I remember someone replied to the same issue as you're having. Hopefully you'll get it sorted.
