Hi Guys,

my ZZR4 is running lean low down and I need a dyno run to see what the problem is.

Is there anyone doing this in Dublin or the environs?

Cheers,
A

NDM would be your best bet.
Think the Bike Tyre Company do them as well.

The Dyno would only show you that you bike is running lean low down. You need to start think carb clean / strip. Try adding some carb cleaner such as redex to the fuel tank.

Thanks,
I've done all that. Carbs have been opened and cleaned, new air filter and new pilot screws, I've used Redex too, all to no avail.

The guy I bought it from has nopw agreed toi give me a replacement bike while he sorts this one out.
It is most likely that a long lay up period has messed up the settings as most of the inromfation I can find suggests that the fuel level in the carbs needes to be increased through the float height adjustment, but it is trial and error.

To view pics on this biker's forum - your post count must be 2 or greater.
there's a step by step walkthrough of how to dial in your carbs, but yeah you do need some dyno time to get it spot on.

if you use something like Redex to "clean" the carbs, wher does all the crap that was in the carbs go?

in to the combustion chamber - out the exhaust - into the ozone layer - down as acid rain - kills a few trees - into a river - into the sea - evapourates into the atmosphere - up your airbox - has a rest in your carbs and hey presto Red X sales continue to grow
