Fantastic pics Johnny!! I'd def do that sometime with the missus. She loves the Fireblade whizzing around traffic so she'd go to europe for a cruising spin I wreck'in. Was there enough room for both gear in the panniers and tank bag? The girlfriend would have the panniers full and I'd be left with my pockets for socks n jocks!

Looks like a great spin and nice pics!

Ireland europe its all the same if you go looking for the right roads.
The Wickla mountains and the west coast are as beautiful and fun to ride as anywhere its just that we are used to what we have and Im sure the french get sick of looking at their shit too!

Fact of the matter is that all of north France is no different at all to here even has the rain!
its all trad music and rocks and I even found rouds you could easily mistake for a patch of Ireland, tis what you make it!

Would you be able to upload a better shot of the the route down through France? My Da (and Ma.. jeez) are heading that to Spain and hasn't planned that part yet. Failing a photo maybe a list of the principle roads?

Thanks alot
Trey

That's about the best photo I have of the map.

We went all national routes mostly, just set the gps for no motorways.
Boat to roscoff, drove to Nantes, la Rochelle, st emilion, pau, then over the pass near pau (d943 I think) to the Spanish side.
We took a road called the N260 (the highllight) to a town called boltana.
Spent two days there, headed to estamaru along the n260(epic)
Back up through Toulouse,Limoges, Saumur, Rennes and back to roscoff.

That's the route, throw it into google maps and have a look.

I would imagine getting one in france with no transport could be a pain.
Thankfully I never neded it.

I got the notion after we got married last year when the wife said I could choose our next holiday as the wedding/honeymoon had been her dream Holiday.

I instantly said a Euro bike trip was what I wanted to do, she was less than impressed.
I had brought her from Kildare to the NW200 3 years ago and she cried on the way home because she was so uncofortablle on the back of the SV650 I had at the time.
So I had to sell my CBR600RR to get a vfr 800vtec with full luggage for the trip.

Well she ended up loving it in the end and wants to do another one!
