seen a few lads are just getting there theory and ibt done and are probably on the lookout so just heads up to save you wasting a journey,

me brother is aftera 125 and i told him id have a look with him and bring him out cos he doesn't know much about them.

basically, the bike needs: new tires, chain and sprockets, front brake pads, back brake pads which when asked were "all grand"

the bike is obviously blowing fuses fairly regularly too cos i took it for quick drive came back bike wouldn't start- he checked the fuse and says "were ye driving with the lights on?"

and one more thing, looks like its had a new ignition put in, which wouldn't phase me usually because i know the pins inside can go, but it looks like a ten year old put the ignition in

For that kind of money I wouldn’t be expecting any kind of mint 2003 yoke.
I saw a flat screen TV for more than that in town yesterday.

While the guy wasn’t honest with his description the bike is still cheap enough .
Bargain him down a couple of hundred, fix and replace what needs sorting and someone would have a nice little learner there.
Assuming there's not other stuff wrong with it that you missed of course.

Great idea to post what you found – might stop a newby here getting burnt.
