Default exup from 98,99,00 R1

HI all

im lookin for an exup valve from any of above bikes
i think its the same valve in all of them
so if anyone is breaking one
let me know cheers

best thing you can do with them valves on the R1 is bolt them open

maybe if your back garden is silverstone,other than that,thats some bad advice.dunno why ppl on this site keep tellin each other to do that.ever read a dyno graph with the exup locked?

well i have it bolted opened at the moment and id say its down on mid range power
a bit , and theres a rotten blip around 8000 rpm
so would rather have the valve inn correctly

Can you not free it up or are all the bolts sheared from the casing? Add a Fazer 1000 to your EXUP search list too.

loss on midrange from hanging it up is no good

tryed everything to free it up no luck there think valve is even slighly bent

its actualy for a fazer 1000 but its nearly inpossable to get one out of them

all it takes is a blowtorch,an impact driver and a bit of grunt and you can remove any exup.i fail to see how one of them can get bent.prob just seized in place.as for missing middle range with it jammed open?wait till you see how easy it is to wheelie off throttle in low revs then youll realise that jamming them open is pure bullshit.its a night n day difference with it working properly.

i only ever had a small flat spot mid range after bolting it open, had no bother wheelying it either

dyno graph with exup removed. but have a look at that torque curve and kinda argument settled.

aye theres no doubt it improves it in fairness, image is very small though, have ya aer a bigger wan to show us?

Don Juan,im not allowed attachments as ive exceeded my quota(can anyone tell me how to delete pics from my profile)and i had to attach this from photobucket.if you go into The Workshop on this site, theres a post called "exup valve"i posted the pic in there and you can click on it and enlarge it.
