A high vis is small enough to sit under any bike seat.
I used to keep one in the 600rr which has one of the smallest compartments due to the underseat exhaust.
Ever here of pockets?
Not that difficult really.

I guess some people are born as sheep........
In alot of eu countries you must carry a first aid kit, warning triangle, hi viz and full set of bulbs in all modes of transport.

If you have not heard hi viz will be mandatory on bikers in this country by 2014 thanks to our politicians.
I would rather have to carry one with me than HAVE to wear it all the time, lesser of two evils really.

As far as I am concerned no one who drives a bike is a sheep.
Sheep drive cages.

In essence, little to no effect can be attributed to HiViz. If you want to be safer out there : Training, and more training is the way to go :)

Worth noting that of all colour bikes, white ones are over represented in accidents in European studies!!
That said, when I do wear the HiViz on a red RT with a red lid, they still part like the waters. See a few folk recently pulling on seatbelts too as I pass

I wear Hi-viz jacket during the winter months. Might help be seen during the rainy dark days. If I don't end up dead in a collision I reckon it helps in court putting the blame on the cage driver for not seeing me.

Did I miss something ? Can someone please put me right on whether I choose to wear a hi-vis or whether I have to wear a hi-vis .

I read in today's Kildare Times free paper thingie under an aricle "On 'yer bike for road safety! " that Kildare's Road Safety Officer Mr. Declan Keogh states:

" A motorcyclist is required by law to wear a high visibility vest while riding a motorcycle, unfortunately however, I find it bizzare and dissapointing that motorcyclists are not required by law to wear the proper and appropriate protective gear while driving a motorcycle" .

Is it the law ? Must we now wear hi-vis vests ?

Old Frat.

i normally drive during the day with Hi-Beams on.
that seems to get you noticed yet not to bright during the day to blind cage drivers.

As for do hi vizes make you more visible? well according to one article i read no makes absolutely no difference as when other vehicles on the road pull out they mainly have car or bigger in their minds and actually dont even register seeing you (on a bike) as they are not looking for motorbikes. the glancing looking with car or bigger in their minds

I got some tidy super bright LED daylight running lights from eBay fitted and boy did they make a massive difference. Can't stand bikes with full beam on during the day still too blinding!! 👎😲

yup and even the first aid kit must contain exactly described things otherwise its not walid - like bandages, scissors etc. set of bulbs are pain in the ass, if you use one and dont buy replacement in the moment you can be fined. Anyway I dont mind wearing hi-viz during the evening/night. it help people notice you, i even wear one on the bicycle. But for me wearing one during the sunny days is pointless.

for me its a go!
